COMMUNITY-ORIENTED POLICE OFFICERS WERE TRAINED ON CONFLICT MANAGEMENT AND MEDIATION
Georgian Center for Strategy and Development (GCSD) organized training on "Conflict Management and Mediation" for community-oriented police officers (COPs) of the Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA). COPs were trained about the essence and methods of conflict management, as well as the mediation process and the role of mediator.
15 COPs participated in the training. The training included both theoretical and practical exercises.
The training was held within the framework of the project - "Building Trust and Confidence between Police and Society", which is implemented by GCSD with the support of the Embassy of the Netherlands in Georgia.
The project has been implemented since 2018 in close cooperation with the Department of International Relations of MIA. The project aims to promote the development of the community-oriented police officer Institute.
