Admissions for the David Chochua Fellowship
CSD announces an admission for the David Chochua Fellowship Program. Applicants from the 3rd and 4th undergraduate years of Social and Political Sciences are invited to send their applications. The fellowship program aims to support students in the study of regional and global security, terrorism and its implications, preventive mechanisms, and other related issues.
Pertinent thematic research directions:
1. Regional and global security:
- Contemporary challenges of regional security;
- Hybrid threats and their impact;
- Cybersecurity and information warfare;
- The role of international organizations in ensuring stability.
2. Terrorism and violent extremism:
- Dynamics and trends of terrorism in 2024;
- Preventive mechanisms and strategies for combating terrorism.
3. Global security challenges:
- Crisis management and conflict prevention;
- Environmental change and security implications;
- The role of women and youth in peacebuilding and conflict resolution.
To participate in the David Chochua Fellowship Program, you must send an abstract of the research topic (maximum 200 words), your resume (maximum 2 pages) and indicate the contact information of the academic referee in the application to the following e-mail address: trc@gcsd.org.ge
Applications will be accepted until January 17, 2025. When sending the application, please indicate in the subject line – Chochua Fellowship 01/2025.
Incomplete applications will not be considered.
The selected student will begin work on the thesis on February 1, 2025.
The amount of the scholarship is 800 GEL.
