PROJECT - VACCINATION4GEORGIA
Center for Strategy and Development (CSD), launched a new project - Vaccination4Georgia.
The project is focused on increasing access to reliable information related to vaccination and helping to change the skeptical attitudes of the population in favor of mass vaccination. Also, one of the priority objectives of the project is to deal with infodemic and misinformation. This will significantly contribute to increasing resilience of the population and help them make informed and fact-based decision related to vaccination.
Within the framework of the project, it is envisaged to carry out various activities through cooperation with local community representatives and their direct engagement, that comprises: conduct a representative quantitative survey, in order to identify general attitudes of the local population, organize trainings for the key actors and stakeholders, conduct a multi-faceted media-campaign, arrange information meetings and trainings in local villages and communities based on a door-to-door campaign and etc.
The project will be implemented in three regions of Georgia, predominately settled with ethnic minorities, where the vaccination rates are the lowest since the beginning of vaccination process. These regions are: Kakheti, Kvemo Kartli and Samtskhe-Javakheti. All communication materials prepared during the project will be available in Georgian, Armenian and Azerbaijani languages.
This project is implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in partnership with Center for Strategy and Development. The project is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
