The Project Facility for the Implementation of the EU-Georgia Association Agreement (AAF Project)– II’s priority competence areas are aimed (1) to support implementation of the EU-Georgia bilateral agreements by strengthening the policy development, coordination, reporting, and monitoring by Government, Parliament and other institutions; (2) by implementing of the sector-related reforms, enhancing the legal approximation, regulatory impact assessment frameworks, and practice across Government’s and Parliament’s relevant institutions; and (3) by improving communication and outreach to the Georgian public regarding the EU-Georgia agreements.
The major objectives were the following: 1. Strengthening Georgian public authorities’ capacity to comply with the commitments set out in the EU-Georgia Agreements (focus on AA/DCFTA); 2. Further enhancement of coordination, monitoring, reporting on and awareness of the AA implementation; 3. Implementation of legal and institutional reforms; 4. Coordination and monitoring of EU assistance.
