General Information
This project enhanced the capabilities of Georgian public and private sector partners to counter the proliferation of ACWs. To this end, the project developed a tip-sheet for financial institutions, relevant SMEs, civil servants, investigative journalists, NGOs, and universities. The project facilitated one-on-one institutional briefings with relevant stakeholders from the abovementioned sectors. These briefings sensitized the stakeholders to the risks and dangers of ACW proliferation.
CSD compiled relevant open-source information to highlight the mechanisms that would enable stakeholders to avoid illicit and risky transactions. This information, embedded in the tip-sheet was used to implement the trainings and compliance materials for Georgian security and compliance officers in financial and logistics sectors. These materials helped these entities identify and avoid future transactions that could contribute to the proliferation of ACW.
